Calgary Stonework Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
At Calgary Stonework, we prioritize transparency and customer satisfaction in our operations. Please note that each quartz and natural stone product may display variations in batches, shades, colors, and patterns. Our pricing is based on the customer’s or their representative’s provided information and our interpretation. Please be aware that quotes are subject to change due to unforeseeable circumstances such as material or expense increases, actual templating, installations outside of Calgary, and any additions to the initial quotation.
As a fabrication company with a focused inventory selection, we depend on our suppliers for brand, origin, quality, quantity, warranty, and availability of materials. Consequently, project timelines may be affected by the material/product choice.
Deposit Policy
A deposit is required to reserve slabs/items or to initiate fabrication. This deposit is approximately 50% for projects under 15 slabs and 10% for larger projects. Deposits can only be credited towards the use of the same slab/materials/items/project. Changes to the slab/materials/items or project cancellations result in a non-refundable deposit, which covers re-stocking and sales processing fees. In cases where no deposit was required, the customer agrees to pay for all services rendered up to the date of cancellation.
Liability and Additional Work
The customer authorizes our company to perform work as specified in the quote. We are not liable for damages resulting from any removal services, which are not included in our packages unless specifically requested and charged. Any additional work or services provided not specified in the quote/invoice will be charged accordingly and carry no warranty. The customer agrees not to hold us liable for any damages or negligence resulting from this work.
Acceptance of Terms
Upon commencement of the job or receipt of any deposit/delivery, the customer accepts all Terms, Conditions, and Warranty as outlined in our Quote and/or Invoice.
Payment and Post-Installation Services
Full payment is due on the installation date unless otherwise specified. Any further services required post-installation will be scheduled upon full payment receipt. For larger projects, stage payments may be arranged as determined by management. Failure to comply with these terms may result in project delays or termination of the contract. Overdue invoices are subject to interest and may be forwarded for legal action, with the customer agreeing to pay all associated fees.
Cancellation and Travel Fees
To avoid a $65.00 cancellation fee, please contact our office 24 business hours prior to your appointment. For appointments outside of Calgary, additional travel fees apply. These fees are charged for cancellations of appointments made within 24 hours, unless waived by management.
Payment Methods
We accept E-TRANSFER, CASH, or CHEQUE. Overdue accounts incur a monthly charge of 2% on the full invoice amount and a $50.00 service charge for NSF cheques. The customer is responsible for all legal and collection fees incurred to secure full payment.
Warranty
Our warranty is valid only when the invoice is paid in full. It covers one year of service, fabrication, and installation on the original material used for the project. Quartz slabs from our regular stock carry a one-year warranty for the original homeowner. This warranty does not cover removal and repair services. ‘Sold As Is’ applies to all granite, marble, quartzite, and other natural slabs from our warehouse, as well as miscellaneous remnant materials. The customer must remove any remaining slabs from our warehouse within 5 business days post-installation. MEASUREMENT and FABRICATION commence after receiving the customer’s initial on the quote or a non-refundable deposit. INSTALLATION scheduling is contingent on the preparedness of cabinets/supports or the terms of the quote/company agreement. Please view the appropriate manufacturer warranty guide here.
Supplier Warranty and Repairs
Limited Supplier warranties apply to products such as sealers, cleaners, sinks, faucets, and accessories, as well as materials/slabs ordered from our suppliers. Installation must be completed by certified professionals, and supporting documents are required for warranty claims. Do not attempt repairs until our management has assessed the situation and determined the appropriate warranty coverage.
Acknowledgment of Acceptance
The job may commence upon the customer’s initial on the quote or email acceptance to [email protected]. The customer also authorizes our representatives to enter the site for necessary project steps.
